Preparing For Your Appointment

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*

If you have received or plan to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine or booster shot, please be sure to schedule your permanent makeup appointment at least 3 weeks after your last shot.  If you have any questions please contact ASEL ARTISTRY.

Permanent/Paramedical cosmetic procedures may require multiple treatment sessions to achieve the clients desired look. Additional treatment service's can be scheduled immediately after the first treatment, and should take place 6-10 weeks after the initial procedure.

To ensure best results, make sure your health is in good condition. Get enough rest, & eat well prior to procedure.

For EYEBROW procedure: No waxing/threading for 72 hours and electrolysis should not be done for a week prior, as the pores would be open and ink can enter those areas.  If you are on any antibiotics, please schedule your permanent makeup appointment at least 10 days after your last dose.

For EYELINER procedure: Do not wear contact lens during the procedure or for 24 hrs after. Bring sunglasses to wear home. Eyes may be light sensitive. Eyelash extensions must be removed two days prior to appointment.  Absolutely no use of any eyelash growth/enhancement serums for at least 6 months (Such as Latisse, Lash boost etc).  Do not dye or perm lashes for 2 days prior. Do not use eyelash curler and/ or mascara the day of the procedure.

For LIP procedures: If you have had any history of fever blisters and/or cold sores, please have your physician prescribe you 5 days of medication. You will take the medications 2 days before, the day of, and then 2 days after your service. This is to prevent any type of outbreak.

* If you have had any type of eye/lip surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent eyeliner/lip procedure. Most physicians are giving a 2 month ok after cataract, lasik, and blepharoplasty and 3 week ok after lip filler injections like collagen or Restylane.

* Botox must also be avoided for at least 10 days prior to your procedure.

24 hours before and after your Permanent/Paramedical cosmetic appointment: avoid alcohol, aspirin and any other related blood thinners (Unless instructed by your physician)

One week before : Stop taking the following supplements; Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, Gingko Biloba, & St. John's Wort) as they contribute to thinning of the blood and may affect anesthetic efficacy. You may resume taking your vitamins 72 hours after.

On the day of your appointment: Avoid caffeine and exercise. Wash your hair in the morning as you will need to avoid wetting brows in the shower for several days. Baths are recommended.

Pigments during permanent/paramedical cosmetic procedures are not implanted as deep into the skin as a traditional tattoo, however, results do not last as long as traditional tattoo methods. Results achieved may fade over a period of 3-5 years. Even once the color will fade, pigment itself may stay in the skin indefinitely. Pigment retention varies depending on skin type, age, aftercare, immune system, medications, certain chemicals, and the type of pigment used.

We use only the best quality pigments that heal true to color. All materials used during each and every appointment (including pre-sterilized blades) are 100% disposable. We strictly adhere to both the AAM, Board of Health, & SPCP guidelines for proper infection control practices and follow all State Guidelines and Regulations.
